Bixin powder is oil soluble and is the primary carotenoid in annatto seeds and is extracted for use as a colorant in various industries, including food, cosmetics, and textiles.
Annatto Oil
Is a bi-product from the extraction of norbixin powder or bixin powder from the annatto seeds. The oil is rich in carotenoids, specifically bixin and nor¬bixin, which are responsible for its characteristic color and antioxidant properties.
Annatto Colors
Are derived from dilution of norbixin 40% or bixin powder. The hues range from red to yellow .They are used extensively in the food, cosmetic, and textile industries.
